FAQ
How to put on an Open Back Top?
- Unsnap both the closures at the shoulder seams of the top.
- From the front, slide the sleeves up the arms of the wearer until the opening reaches their back (no lifting required).
- Once the top is in place, pull the first panel across the back and snap it in place at the shoulder.
- Now take the second panel, pull across, creating an overlap, and snap again.
Why use Silverts Open Back Tops?
- Caregiver Safety: Caregivers do not have to lift or shift the wearer, avoiding risk of injury and burnout.
- Great for Limited Upper Body Mobility: Wearers can be dressed without lifting their arms or contorting their upper body as with traditional over-the-head tops. This is helpful for individuals with limited upper body mobility.
- Ideal for Seated or Supine Dressing: The open back means the top can be put on from the front and snapped at the shoulders with minimal jostling. The wearer can be dressed from a seated, standing or lying position. The panels at the back can be snapped into place easily, providing full coverage and discretion from behind.

Easy to get in and out of and my mom feels very perky and stylish when she wears it.
I purchased this for Mom a couple of years ago. The cut is nice and comfy and the zipper allows for warmth adjustment, but after several washings the fabric pilled and is a little rough for thin skin. I will not purchase this again unless the fabric is improved.

Hi I did not realize there was a zipper that could open. honestly a metal zipper like that can be problematic for someone in a wheelchair and not very mobile who is changed in bed as they get rolled ( gently ) to put on their clothes and the zipper could press into their skin. as they rolled over to the one side. \nI had the same issue with another top we purchased that had a large silver metal chain for decoration on it in the front below the collarbone. \nsadly not appropriate for people who cannot dress themselves and get dressed in the bed and so are rolled from side to side to help put on thier tops and pants. \njust letting you know. so I will remove the zipper. \ntop otherwise is nice. \nthank you
