FAQ
How to put on an Open Back Top?
- Unsnap both the closures at the shoulder seams of the top.
- From the front, slide the sleeves up the arms of the wearer until the opening reaches their back (no lifting required).
- Once the top is in place, pull the first panel across the back and snap it in place at the shoulder.
- Now take the second panel, pull across, creating an overlap, and snap again.
Why use Silverts Open Back Tops?
- Caregiver Safety: Caregivers do not have to lift or shift the wearer, avoiding risk of injury and burnout.
- Great for Limited Upper Body Mobility: Wearers can be dressed without lifting their arms or contorting their upper body as with traditional over-the-head tops. This is helpful for individuals with limited upper body mobility.
- Ideal for Seated or Supine Dressing: The open back means the top can be put on from the front and snapped at the shoulders with minimal jostling. The wearer can be dressed from a seated, standing or lying position. The panels at the back can be snapped into place easily, providing full coverage and discretion from behind.

Beautiful colours, soft, warm, easy to put on.
She likes it.
My mother is completely dependent for dressing and feeding in a nursing home. She is pretty end stage with her dementia and comfortable clothes are important. Sadly she can't talk either. I bought this for her and her caregivers LOVE it! They tell me how easy it is to slip it on her after they have her in the wheelchair. They just lean her forward a bit so they can close/button the back after slipping it on her in the front. They tell me it works better for her than the standard "front closure/snap at the shoulder in front" that I see in every other adaptive shirt here (and other sites) for assisted dressing. It also is really pretty. My mom was really engaged by the colors and seemed to enjoy looking at the shirt when I first brought it in to her and held it up on myself so she could see. It looks great on her. I wish they had more in this style that buttons in the back. This one has been such a success I'm going to buy a second for my mom--even though I'll be buying the same shirt and colors again.
Quality was great and looked fabulous.
Too big for a S/P. Didn't fit. Very disappointed.
