Adaptive Clothing Size Chart for Women

Here are the measurements that we use at Silverts in order to size our clothes for senior women. Keep in mind that we don’t use inseam measurements for either men's or women's pants, as our pants all have a standard length measurement. Keep in mind we have different sizing for bras.

How to Measure for Adaptive Women's Shirts

  1. Wrap your tape measure around the broadest part of your chest. For most women, this is right across the fullest part of the breasts, over the nipple line. Keep the tape measure parallel to the ground as you do so. If it rides up or falls down, this will result in an incorrect measurement. Take a few breaths to make sure that the tape is not too tight. Make a note of this measurement to the nearest inch.
  2. Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, right around your belly button. Stand up straight and don't slouch or suck in your stomach. You want a natural measurement, not an exaggerated one. Make a note of this measurement to the nearest inch.
  3. Use these measurements to determine your women's adaptive shirt size. If your measurements are spread across multiple sizes, then go with the larger size. Do keep in mind that most adaptive clothing, in particular open back, is sized for a generous fit. If you have questions about what size you should get in a particular garment, then feel free to contact our customer support team and they can assist you.

How to Measure for Adaptive Women's Pants

  1. Wrap the tape measure around the narrowest part of your waist, right around your belly button. Stand up straight and don't slouch or suck in your stomach. You want a natural measurement, not an exaggerated one. Make a note of this measurement to the nearest inch.
  2. Wrap the tape measure around the widest part of your hips, which for most women is directly across the bottom. Don’t pull so hard that the tape cuts into your cheeks. Just let it rest on top naturally. Make a note of this measurement to the nearest inch.
  3. Use these measurements to determine your women's adaptive pants size. If your measurements are spread across multiple sizes, then go with the larger size. When choosing women's pants sizes, keep in mind that our dress and pants sizes don't exactly correspond with other brands (i.e., a 6 is a size small for us, but may be a medium in another brand). Also measure yourself before ordering adaptive clothing and don't make assumptions about what size will fit you.
