Hello my name is Eddie. I grew up in the beautiful town of Niagara-On-The-Lake. My family lives on a farm where we grow lots of peaches in orchards.
We grow a few different types but my favourite is freestone, especially because they are the best for baking. My mom taught me to bake when I was a young cub, I am better than her now but don’t tell her I said that!
When I am not in the orchards I like to bake! I can make the best peach cobbler in Ontario, in case you were wondering. I like to top it with some delicious vanilla ice cream.
Some days the work in the kitchen and out on the farm leaves my joints and muscles feeling achy and I find myself spending some extra time in bed. On these days I appreciate some help from my family to get me dressed and ready for the day.
I like to wear my Silverts Adaptive Open Back Polo Shirt and Wheelchair Pants on those days. It makes getting me dressed a lot simpler for my family and they are so comfortable in my wheelchair. These clothes help me feel comfortable and look good, at the same time, just the ‘bear necessities’.
I am really excited to have moved into Pleasant Manor, I am looking forward to making new friends! Hopefully they like peaches and baking too!

Hello my name is Charlie. Do you like music? I sure do. I have been teaching music to kids in school for many years now.
Not all of them like music class but I try to make sure they have fun while still learning their scales and instruments. I figure they need to know the ‘bear necessities’ of music, but don’t want to overwhelm them.
There is a special place in my heart for any student who chooses to learn saxophone, as it is my favourite. My Dad taught me to play when I was a young cub, and I have been going ever since. It can provide such a smooth soothing sound and is perfect for jazz.

When I am getting ready for bed, I sometimes find it difficult changing into my nightgown. My arms get sore and tired from holding and playing my saxophone, so it helps to have someone help me put my nightgown on.
I love my Silverts Adaptive Nightgown because the snaps on the shoulders make getting dressed so simple. It is a bonus that it has my favourite colour yellow on it! I am excited to be moving to the Main Street Terrace Long Term Care Home. Here’s hoping they like Ella Fitzgerald too.

Billie
Hello, my name is Billie. I love the outdoors. Hiking, camping, birdwatching, I love it all. I am currently looking for my forever home, hoping to make some new friends. Know anyone who needs a forever home?...
Hello my name is Billie. I love the outdoors. Hiking, camping, birdwatching, I love it all. I am very lucky that I can get out and do all my favourite things regularly.
During the week I work with my bees. I have 6 beehives, one queen bee living in each. In the spring and summer I get to collect and harvest the honey. Yum!
I sell what I don’t eat at my local farmer’s market on the weekend. My other bear friends really enjoy it, as honey is part of our ‘bear necessity’ diet. Sometimes there isn’t much left to sell because I put honey on everything!
I love the spring and summer. My Warm Cape from Silverts is great for all my activities and keeps me warm and dry as the weather changes. I like that it has a zipper around the neck, that way I can get dressed on my own
The hood is important on those rainy days. Sometimes my brother borrows it though. It works really well for him in his wheelchair as it shorter in the back and doesn’t get caught in his wheels.
I am excited to get adopted and find my forever home, hopefully I can make some new friends! It would be great if there is someone who like bees as much as I do, that way we can talk about them all day.
